Code4Change is a youth-led nonprofit giving middle and high school students free, hands-on education in Python, AI, Data Science, and other technology skills.
Every class, project and mentor is free. You will never pay to take part.
How we got here
- 2025
Tulika Punia, a high school student, started Code4Change so younger students would have a free, welcoming place to learn programming, AI and data science. Dhruv Punia joined as co-founder.
- Our first free Python class
We ran a five-week Python course with two live one-hor sessions each week. No fees, no experience needed, and a real instructor on every call.
- Students publish their first projects
In the first Data4Change cohort, students built and published their own data projects online on topics they chose themselves - including cricket, Netflix, Instagram, and the stock market.
- AI joins the lineup
We added AI4Change so students could see how tools like ChatGPT actually work, then build something of their own with them.
- Chapters open in two more states
Student directors opened Code4Change chapters in Illinois and Georgia, enabling state-level expansion and collaboration with local organizations to increase outreach and bring STEM & Tech education opportunities to more students.

Dhruv Punia is a high school student passionate about coding, robotics, and making technology accessible to young learners. As Co-Founder and Social Media Director of Code4Change, he helps create a welcoming space where students can explore programming and TEch education without barriers.
