When students sign up for our courses, we collect the following information through our enrollment forms:

• •Student name — so we know who's in our classes
• •Student email — to send course materials and updates
• •Parent/guardian email — to keep parents informed and obtain consent when required
• •Grade level — to place students in the right course
• •Location (city and state) — to understand where our students are
• •Zip code — for general demographic understanding

We do not collect sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, financial information, or health records.

How We Collect Information

All information is collected through Google Forms embedded on our website (code4change.co). When you fill out an enrollment or interest form, your responses are submitted directly to Google Forms and stored securely in our Google Workspace account. We do not collect information through any other automated means on our website.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely for the following purposes:

• •Enrolling students in our free courses and programs
• •Sending course-related updates, schedules, and materials
• •Communicating with parents and guardians about their child's participation
• •Understanding the demographics of our students to improve our programs

That's it — no surprises. We will never use your information for advertising, marketing to third parties, or any purpose unrelated to our educational mission.

Data Sharing

We want to be crystal clear: we never sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your data stays with Code4Change and is only accessible to our authorized team members who need it to run our programs. The only third-party service involved is Google (for form submissions and data storage), which is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy & COPPA Compliance

Because our programs serve students who may be under 13 years of age, we take extra steps to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

• •We require a parent/guardian email address on all enrollment forms
• •For students under 13, we obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting any personal information
• •Parents can review, request deletion of, or refuse further collection of their child's information at any time by contacting us
• •We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our educational services

If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13 without proper parental consent, please contact us immediately at code4achange@gmail.com and we will promptly delete that information.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain student and parent information only for as long as it is needed to provide our educational services. Once a student is no longer enrolled in any of our programs, we will delete their information within a reasonable timeframe unless we are required to retain it by law.

Want your data deleted? Simply send us an email at code4achange@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and we will remove your information from our records as quickly as possible (typically within 30 days).

Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses only essential cookies required for the basic functionality of our site (such as those needed by our Next.js framework). We do not use:

• •Advertising or marketing cookies
• •Third-party tracking or analytics cookies
• •Social media tracking pixels

In short, we're not tracking you around the internet. We're here to teach coding, not collect data.

Our website is served over HTTPS, and form data is stored securely through Google Workspace with access limited to authorized Code4Change team members. While no method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure, we are committed to protecting your information to the best of our ability.
